Customer Notice Leisure Closures Coronavirus Covid 19 Hull

Information on what Hull Culture & Leisure are doing in response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Please  Click Here for a list of our site closures.

Statement 25 March 2020

Following government advice to reduce social interaction to help stop the transmission of COVID-19 all of Hull Culture and Leisure sites except the parks will be closed from Tuesday 24 March until further notice. We will update this information as the situation changes.

All organised events, activities and social gatherings will not go ahead at the moment. All buildings are closed including public toilets and the East Park Animal Education Centre. The play areas are not in use or the outdoor gym areas. We gratefully request that visitors avoid leaving their litter in the parks, we are operating a reduced service, and have less resources to remove rubbish at the current time. Park visitors are asked to follow national advice from Public Health England and practice social distancing

Leisure Centre Membership Update

Due to the closures we will be placing all memberships on hold. All Direct Debits will also be held and no payments will be taken during the closure period and any upfront memberships will be credited when sites re-open.

Any customers who have paid up front will have their memberships held and have the option for a refund.

If any customer have questions about their memberships email: please be aware this will be very busy time for us and we will endeavour to reply to all messages as fast as we can.

Hull City Hall and Hull New Theatre

Hull City Hall and Hull New Theatre would like to thank our loyal customers for your patience during these unprecedented times.

Our team continue to manage cancelled and/re-arranged events but please be aware that we have extremely limited capacity, therefore there will unfortunately be delays in processing refunds & credits.

We are working hard to reschedule as many events as possible so we would be extremely grateful if customers are able to await a rescheduled date or accept theatre credit on their box office account for a future event rather than request a refund at this stage.  Details of rescheduled dates will be published online and via social media in due course.

Please be aware that the box office is closed to the public and not available on the telephone, therefore we politely request that you do not attempt to contact us unless absolutely urgent.  Tickets for shows on sale and new announcements can be booked via the website –

Thank you for your patience and continuing support and we look forward to welcoming you all back to our venues as soon as possible.
