Hull Culture and Leisure Ltd are seeking Buildings and Stage Door Officers for the Theatre and Halls service consisting of two of Hull’s premier venues - Hull City Hall and Hull New Theatre which host diverse world-class programmes of events for all within the region and further afield.

The successful candidate will join the service at an exciting time following reopening after recent temporary closures due to Covid-19 restrictions and to continue to build upon recent successes since Hull’s year in the spotlight as City of Culture in 2017 and major refurbishment of Hull New Theatre.

The role is to provide efficient site and building control during the designated shift for effective running of the facility and events.

To be responsible for the security and access to and from the venue for staff, visitors, contractors, touring companies and performers.  Overseeing deliveries to and from a busy service yard as well as monitoring of CCTV and fire alarm panel.  Daily opening and closing of the building with key holder responsibility.  Associated administration duties relevant to the post.  To show a friendly, caring, flexible attitude towards roles & responsibilities, the needs of the service and the support of professional staff.

Acting as the frontline face of the service to the public dealing with complaints and incidents in an effective manner in line with agreed policies.   Ensuring that the site is maintained in a clean and tidy manner.

We are looking for confident, friendly candidates with excellent communication skills, ideally with a background entertainment and/or guest experience management.  Keen interest in the arts and entertainment industry is desirable.

A flexible approach to working hours and willingness to work unsocial hours including evenings and weekends is essential as evening and weekend work will be required on a regular basis
