Hull culture and leisure are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Manager who has the ability to establish professional, effective working relationships with a range of partners and colleagues.

To support the Leisure Manager with site management supporting all operational activity and contribute to planning on site including programming, staff management, performance monitoring, budget monitoring, health and safety and customer care, managing the site as a business unit.

The successful candidate will actively promote the site to encourage increased participation and healthy lifestyle choices and take a lead role with the bookings procedure to include timely income recovery. Assisting the Leisure Manager in the financial control of the sites budgets including, income targets and monitoring of expenditure.

Their role will include working at the newly updated Woodford and Ennerdale leisure centres and forth coming refurbishments at Beverley road baths, Hulls Ice Arena and later next year at the Albert Avenue complex with the out door lido and splash pad.

A Pool plant certificate, first aid at work and a recognised health and safety certificate are essential for this role, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to drive a Zamboni ice cutting machine is desirable but training will be given.

The successful candidate must be able to work unsupervised and carry out opening and closing procedure.

A degree of flexibility is required in this role as you will need to cover for holidays and sickness.
