We are looking to recruit enthusiastic Library Casual Relief Assistants who will be responsible for assisting in delivering library services in HMP Hull Prison library, working at short notice to cover for sickness absence or holidays.
 
You will need to demonstrate previous experience of working with the public and you must have 4 GCSEs or an appropriate equivalent qualification, including literacy and numeracy.

It is essential that you can work effectively in a team, but can also organize and prioritise your own workload and work on your own initiative. The prison is a challenging environment so you will need to demonstrate your ability to deal with challenging behavior and situations.

Good general knowledge including knowledge of basic IT skills is required. You will also have good verbal and written communication skills to communicate with customers of all ages and abilities.

It is essential you have a flexible approach to work, often being asked to cover at short notice and especially at weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays.
