Junior Gym Sessions

Supervised gym sessions for young people aged 11 to 15 are offered across a number of our fitness suites. These are ideal sessions to enable young people to get into fitness and work with qualified gym instructors on establishing good fitness routines and correct technique when working out.

In addition to gym sessions for 11 to 15 year olds, we also run gym sessions for young people aged 15+ as well as family gym sessions.

Please note: the use of free weights is not permitted by young people aged 11 to 15 year olds across all of our fitness suites. Correct gym etiquette must be followed (please check with the gym instructors at the site for further information on this) and young people using our fitness suites must complete an induction.

Junior (11 to 15 year old), 15+ and Family Gym sessions can be found at the following sites -

Woodford Leisure Centre

Junior Gym sessions (11 to 15 year olds).

These sessions must be booked at reception up to 7 days in advance. The sessions consist of 30 minutes cardio/abs followed by 30 minutes on resistance weight machines.

 

Session Times -

Monday to Friday: 4pm to 5pm

Saturday and Sunday: 1pm to 2pm

 

Juniors aged 15+

Juniors aged 15+ are able to use the gym without being accompanied, proof of age will be required. These sessions do not need to be booked in advance.

 

Session times -

Monday to Friday: 3.15pm until close

Saturday and Sunday: 8.30am to 2pm

 

Family Gym Sessions

These gym sessions are available for families with children aged 11+ to participate. Any junior aged 11+ must be accompanied by an adult aged 16+ who is also using the gym at the same time. It is the responsibility of the adult to supervise the junior at all times. Booking in advance not required.

Session times-

Monday to Friday: 7.30pm until close

Saturday and Sunday: 9am until 12noon

 

Ennerdale Leisure Centre

Junior Gym sessions (11 to 15 year olds).

No booking in advance is required, however spaces are limited.

 

Session times -

Monday to Friday: 4pm to 5pm

Saturday and Sunday: 1pm to 2pm

 

Juniors aged 15+

Family Gym Sessions

Albert Avenue Pools

 

Junior Gym sessions (11 to 15 year olds).

No booking in advance is required, however spaces are limited.

Tuesdays: 4pm to 5.30pm

£3 payable per visit or as part of your Live It Junior Fitness Membership

 

Please note -

Juniors must complete an induction prior to beginning Junior Gym sessions. Please contact the Leisure Centre you intend to train at to confirm Junior induction days and times. Junior inductions costs £1.20
