The Ice Arena has been closed due to essential maintenance required following the extended closure of the building as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. We are currently looking at the steps needed for reopening, in line with the latest Public Health England guidance, in what is an ever-changing environment. The Hull Ice Arena, home to the regions only Olympic size ice rink, offers a comprehensive ice skating programme for the whole public. It plays host to a number of semi-professional ice hockey clubs and is a renowned entertainments venue for concerts and other attractions.

The Hull Ice Arena runs a variety of ice skating, figure skating, Learn to Skate and ice hockey sessions which are open to the public. In addition to this, The Hull Ice Arena is home to a number of ice hockey clubs which attract members at all levels. Customers and spectators can also enjoy a bite to eat or a drink in our cafe which offers a selection of hot and cold foods.

Skate with Animals (under 7's) Session for under 7's to get on the ice with an animal aid every Sunday between 10am to 11am £6.65
Junior Disco Skate Session for 11 - 19 year olds every Friday from 8pm to 10pm with DJ playing latest chart hits. £5.75 (excludes skate hire)
Skate Hire Skates available to hire for public and disco skate sessions if you do not own your own skates £2.95

We offer a comprehensive Learn to Skate programme for children and adults from beginner through to more advanced levels of coaching. The National Ice Skating Association Skate UK courses are delivered by professional ice skating coaches who will take you through the different stages of coaching awards. Find out more about skate lessons


Whether you want thousands of guests or a more intimate gathering, Hull Ice Arena is equipped to host all types of event or private function -

  • Olympic sized ice rink available for ice events or boarded over for major events such as concerts, exhibitions, boxing, career shows or annual general meetings. The rink has capacity for up to 3750 people
  • Blades bar and function suite, with a capacity for up to 150 people, is ideal for private functions such as parties or celebrations. Our licensed bar offers a wide selection of beers, wines, spirits, hot drinks and bar snacks. We can also provide in-house catering or you can supply your own food. A DJ is also available for hire.

Meeting rooms, available for meetings, seminars or training events. In-house catering and light refreshments can also be provided.

Entry to Hull Ice Arena is via the ramped access at main entrance.


Assistance dogs are welcome. Please notify the booking office at the time of booking.


Baby changing facilities are available in our disabled toilets.


Parking at the Hull Ice Arena is a Pay and Display long term car park. Up to 70 spaces available for parking (this may be restricted for some events).

Parking prices (Monday to Saturday 8am to 9pm, Sundays free parking) -

  • Up to 2 hours - £1.80
  • Up to 3 hours - £2.70
  • Up to 4 hours - £3.60
  • Up to 5 hours - £4.50
  • All day - £6.60

Blue badge parking is free of charge and there are three disabled parking bays. An external cycle park is also available.
