West Park, next to the KCOM Stadium, features a wildlife aviary, a children's playground and fantastic new skatepark development as well as wide open green spaces.
Boarding the park is Walton Street which is host to the largest travelling fair in Europe every October.
Other facilities include three bowling greens, a model railway and a paddling pool (open in summer holidays).
Things to do at West Park
One of Europe's largest travelling funfairs, which comes to Hull, for one week from 4pm on Friday 5 October to 12 am on Saturday 13 October, encompassing 11 October each year. The fair is open every day between these days except Sunday 7 October. Admission to Hull Fair is completely free.
Opening times for Hull Fair are Monday to Friday 5pm to 11pm (2pm for childrens rides) and from 2pm to 11pm on Saturdays (12noon for childrens rides).
On the opening night of Hull Fair on Friday 5 October, the Fair will be open from 5pm.
Each year the fair features a major new ride and 2018 is certainly not going to disappoint with the debut of XXL which is the big brother of the Afterburner and the Freak out. This mega attraction which will be making its first appearance in the North can reach the incredible height of 40 Metres and for the swing, from side to side, a spectacular 47 metres. The XXL has a capacity of 20 passengers for each ride, and is set to be a magnet for the thrill seekers. Air always a favourite at Hull will be back as well as a Giant Wheel, the Sky Flyer and the Exciter the only ride of its kind in the World!
How to find West Park
West Park is located next to the KCOM Stadium on the west side of Hull.
Access to the park is level and pathways are mainly level as you travel through the park.
Assistance dogs are welcome.
There is a toilet block with male, female, child and disabled toilets next to the paddling pool.
Baby changing facilities are available in the disabled toilet.
