If you find an item you want to borrow but it is not available you can ask us to reserve it for you.
You can ask for an item to be reserved if -
- you need it sent to a different library
- it is on loan to some one else
- it's a new book we haven't got yet
There is a fee to reserve an item.
You can reserve an item in a couple of ways.

In order to reserve an item through the online catalogue you will need to

- go into item details
- select the 'Place Hold' link under the image of the book
- log in with your library ticket details
There will be the reservation charge to pay on your next visit to the library.
We'll notify you when the item is ready for collection either by text, email or post depending on the data we have.
To reserve an item over the telephone or in person
