2021 Open Exhibition
Ferens Art Gallery
Saturday 24 July - Sunday 3 October 2021
The annual Open Exhibition at the Ferens Art Gallery has celebrated the creativity of local amateur and professional artists since 1967. Each year the Open Exhibition provides an exciting opportunity for artists to display and sell artwork.
This year’s exhibition has been selected by Colin Gray, Artist/Photographer and Filmmaker, Natalie Rudd, Senior Curator, Arts Council Collection, and Kofi Smiles, Breakfast Presenter, BBC Radio Humberside. Visitors can expect to see a fascinating array of artwork including impressive paintings, photography and textiles, as well as a number of striking sculptures and ceramics, most of which are for sale.
In this short film we take a closer look at the 2021 Open Exhibition and hear from selector Kofi Smiles, and the judges who chose the prize winners.
