Public Notice - Due to the Government announcement of a national lockdown, Ennerdale Leisure Centre is closed to the public from Tuesday 5 January 2021. For further information please visit our Coronavirus Public Closures Information page.
Following the recent £1.76m refurbishment, the facilities at Ennerdale Leisure Centre now include:
- A traditional shaped swimming pool.
- A teaching pool.
- A new extended fitness suite containing free weights, new cardiovascular and resistance machines including additional Stair Masters and Ski-Erg.
- Sports hall - suitable for football, basketball, volleyball, hockey, netball, six badminton courts and a range of fitness classes.
- The regions only all-weather 1km cycling facility.
- Dance studio.
- Brand new Virtual Wexer Studio with over 1000 on-demand fitness classes.
Visiting Ennerdale Leisure Centre
In line with Government guidance on the reopening of Sport and Leisure facilities, new procedures are in place for when you visit relating to safety, hygiene and bookings.

Booking A Swim, Gym or Fitness Class Session
All Swims, Gym Sessions and Fitness Classes must be booked in advance. Unfortunately we are no longer able to offer a walk-in on the day service. Please note that under the current Tier 3 local restrictions, we are unable to run indoor group fitness/exercise classes, our outdoor group fitness / exercise classes are unaffected and still running.
For customers with Live It memberships you will be able to book in advance using the membership number on your Live It membership card as before. For people who wish to be casual users and not take out a monthly membership, we are now offering the option of a pay as you go card which means you can book online with ease.

Customer Notice When Booking Family Swimming Sessions
When booking your Family Swimming Session, please remember to add ALL participants to your basket, including any children under the age of five before confirming your booking.
Fitness Class Changes During Tier 3 Local Restrictions
Due to the rules set out in Tier 3 local restrictions, all leisure and fitness providers are unable to run indoor group fitness / exercise classes. While we may not be able to run indoor group fitness / exercise classes, during Tier 3 we have increased our outdoor group fitness / exercise classes.
- Bootcamp - Wednesdays 6.30pm - 7.30pm at Ennerdale Cycle Circuit
- Run for Fun - Fridays 6.30pm - 7.30pm at Ennerdale Cycle Circuit
- Bootcamp - Saturdays 11am - 12noon at Ennerdale Cycle Circuit
Available for Live It fitness members and Pay As You Go members. Meet at Ennerdale Leisure Centre reception and swipe through for the session before the instructor takes you to the Cycle Circuit for your session.
Junior Gym Sessions
Juniors can now access the fitness suite at Ennerdale Leisure Centre. New times and procedures are in place for these sessions. For more information on Junior Gym sessions visit - Junior and Family Gym Sessions
Swimming lessons will be returning in a limited capacity to Ennerdale Leisure Centre in October. Swimmers who will be restarting lessons will receive notification by letter. New procedures for swimming lessons are now in place. Full guidance on our swimming lesson procedures can be found here.

For people who wish to be casual users and not take out a monthly Direct Debit membership, we are now offering the option of a pay as you go card which means you can book online with ease. Complete your details online and use the temporary membership number to book and pay for your activity. Simply collect your card from the leisure centre on your next visit.
Non-members are required to sign up for pay as you go membership as part of the government guidelines. This helps us to maintain a COVID-safe environment and aid the NHS with test and trace. Further information on our Test and Trace and Data Protection statements can be found here.
Cycling At The Ennerdale Cycle Circuit
Ennerdale Leisure Centre is also home to the Ennerdale Cycle Circuit - the region's only 1km closed circuit cycle loop. Floodlit cycle circuit available for pay and pedal sessions and club use for training and competitions. Visit the Ennerdale Cycle Circuit Page.

There is ample on-site parking for cars and coaches and three dedicated disabled parking bays. A cycle park is available at the entrance as well as heavy duty bike storage lockers (deposit required). A separate parking area can be opened on the Cycle Circuit for cycling events.
How To Find Ennerdale Leisure Centre
Ennerdale Leisure Centre is in the north of the city, just five minutes from Kingswood. It is right on the River Hull at Sutton Road bridge.
Ramped access at main entrance and lift to poolside changing and sauna.
Assistance dogs are welcome. Please notify us prior to arrival, where possible. A dog drinking station is available on request.
Baby changing facilities are available in both the male and female changing rooms. We have also have four dedicated changing facilities for people with disabilities.
