Customer Notice - Animal Education Centre Bird Walk Through Closed

We have been closely following the developments of HPAI avian influenza (bird flu) in the UK and Yorkshire area, and have taken the decision, following advice from DEFRA, to close our bird walkthrough to visitors to help protect our birds from the currently heightened risk of HPAI avian influenza. This is part of range of additional precautionary measures our aviary rangers have put place to protect our wider collection of birds.  We apologise for any inconvenience this causes, and hope to be able to reopen our walkthrough as soon as the avian influenza risks have reduced.
